Brazed heat exchangers


Compact brazed heat exchangers Swep – are the most effective and productive equipment engaged in heat transfer process up today.

Compact brazed heat exchanger Swep consists of corrugated plates package with closing plates sets in front and behind. Closing plates set includes sealing plates, sealing rings and cover plates. Different types of connection are used to connect Swep to customer’s system. Brazed joint is formed in every point of contact between main material and braze alloy during vacuum brazing. Plates structure creates two separate channels or circuits in heat exchanger.
Standard place of connection openings is the front side of Swep heat exchanger. Connection type can be customized in accordance with specific requirements of local market and definite application. Closing plates are used for leak proof separation of space between cover plate and one of corrugated end plates forming channels. Closing plates can be named first plate and end plate. Closing plates are integrated with cover plates in some Swep models. Quantity of cover plates depends on heat exchanger model, pressure range, etc. Some Swep heat exchangers have sealing rings for space separation between channel-forming plate and cover plate, others have such a structure that sealing rings are integrated with cover plate and first/last channel-forming plate. There is a standard configuration of plates set on the picture above, but other variants are possible as well. It is to note that herringbone direction changes from plate to plate.

Braze alloy types:


  •  Copper (99,9%);
  •  Nickel alloys.


Plates design:


  •  Symmetric angles of relief incline at an obtuse and acute angles;
  •  Double plates for processes, where operating mediums mixture is not allowable.

New heat exchangers from stainless steel

SWEP company introduced a new production range of fully stainless heat exchangers on IKK exhibition. It was a result of many years work carried out by metallurgists, manufacturers and SWEP specialists in the field of heat-transfer.
